Hello world! I'm a social media evangelist, geek to English translator, writer, belly dancer, and transplant New Yorker.

Professional History

Dynamic writer and designer with an interest in international, women's, and youth issues with an extensive work history in the NGO and business sector in New York City and abroad.

Previous job experiences include speaking and coordinating workshops at youth conferences in Europe, Asia, and the United States, running usability and accessibility testing on existing websites and designing new websites for several NGOs including the United Nations, teaching in New York City public schools as an educational consultant and working directly with the Pratt Institute student body as a Resident Advisor.

I have a special interest in developing vibrant web communities and have have been recognized for excellence by Writers' Digest, Editors and Preditors, and at the World Summit on the Information Society. Social media and web 2.0 technologies are also areas I've worked extensively in and like to "translate" into tools for businesses and nonprofits to reach a wider, more global audience.

As a high-energy ideas person with a commitment to communicating difficult ideas and concepts to both audience and clients clearly in plain English (or German), I am currently working at Vestergaard Frandsen as their New Media Specialist, pulling together my passions of writing, the web, and world-saving.
